“Barry and his team are extremely resourceful, they're agile, they're extremely quick studies. They understand us; they understand our challenges, they understand how we're trying to link strategy and grow businesses and respond to competition in ways that I found few other providers really assist us. It's a rare insight when you combine that with the resources of the Pettit team in terms of talent selection, adult education, technology, finding effective ways to communicate concepts, and helping us minimize change management. It's exceptional.”

David Pavey,
CFO and SVP Finance and Corporate Services, Morrison Hershfield Engineering Ltd.

“The Pettit team is assisting us in our corporate-wide self-improvement project, which we call “Empower,” working with our executive team, sales personnel, marketing group, administrative teams, and service group; our goals are to educate and prepare ourselves so that, together, we can meet the changing needs of our customers in today's environment. One of the things that Pettit identified for us as a tool that we could use very effectively would be to share best practices, and it is critical for our success.”

Care and Commitment in the Not-for-Profit Sector

Pettit Inc. has supported life-changing causes in the not-for-profit sector since the launch of the company in 1979. In particular, initiatives that address at-risk youth communities, medical research, and Christian ministry projects remain a vital element of our corporate values and mission.

Supporting the Sanfilippo Foundation over a 20-year period led to innovative approaches to the way medical research is conducted in Canada. Our ongoing work with at-risk youth in several Canadian cities through Camp Widjiiitwin changes lives. We support specialized camp programs through financial and volunteer contributions that help young people develop the emotional, social, mental, physical, and spiritual skills necessary to thrive. Further afield, we have spent time on the ground in Haiti, providing media services to Freedom Global Outreach, a Christian ministry that rescues and cares for the welfare of orphaned and abandoned children.

Enterprise Scale Special Events

Enterprise projects that demand thorough planning and execution are inherently part of the Pettit ethos. Pettit Inc. provided documentary coverage of the Calgary Olympics for the purpose of creating an event marketing training program that was used subsequently by several universities.
